The BOR-LYTE spin-off project pioneers the development of sustainable borate electrolytes for sodium-ion batteries, transforming energy storage technologies. Leveraging a novel, one-step waste-free production process, it utilizes mined borax as well as industrial boron waste, significantly reducing environmental impact and dependency on critical raw materials. Our team works on the transition from lab-scale innovations to market-ready solutions, aiming to replace conventional lithium-based electrolytes. This breakthrough aligns with global sustainability goals, offering a scalable, cost-effective alternative that enhances the reliability and safety of renewable energy systems.
