We're proud to share a wonderful collaboration between the Demonstrator Lab Makerspace and the University Library of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam)!
Earlier this year, we lent our 3D scanner to the library team to assist their project on digitizing ancient Assyrian clay tablets. Last week the project was presented in the library, where short lectures and a mini exhibition guided us through the process of digitizing historical clay tablets. Soon the results will take shape in classrooms and research environments alike.
This innovative project explores how 3D models can support object-based learning, helping students and researchers engage with historical artifacts in entirely new ways.
A big thank you to project manager Anouk Nuijten and the whole VU Library team for their curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Interested in exploring the project further or accessing the educational resources? Check out the project website: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/d-47d56t
💡 Let’s keep scanning, sharing, and shaping the future of learning. Remember, if you have an idea you want to try, some equipment you want to borrow, surely the DLAB is the place to go!
>> We're especially excited that a short video about the process (featuring our scanner in action) is now available. Thanks Caren Huygelen for the great work in the film!
